Glass Door Roller Installation

This guide will help you remove
your old roller. This is the best way for you to find the exact roller
you need for your door. With over 300 rollers you need to take your old

Glass Door Roller Installation
and Removal Guide Type 1
Step 1 Remove the door from the
frame. Lester Says " Look for anti lift blocks
in the top of the frame. Most doors can be removed from the open
position without removing the anti lift blocks. Glass doors are very heavy
it is recommended that you have help! Lift the door up and pull it out
of the frame. Lay the door flat on the ground.
Step 2 Remove any mount screws
from the roller. Lester Says "Not
all doors use mounting screws.
 
Using a screw driver pry the side
tabs on both sides of the roller assembly down so that the roller can
be pry ed down and out of the door channel. Lester
Says " Spray some type of lubricant on the roller if it is rusty or corroded
to help you with the removal"

Step 3 Pre adjust the roller to
the same configuration as your old roller and the push the new roller
into place. Lester Says "You can use
a a hammer to tap! the roller into place Remember you are working on a
glass door! Reinstall the mounting screw
if you removed one.
Step
4 Reinstall the door into the frame.
Step
5 If the door is not Square use the hole in the end of the door to adjust
the roller adjustment screw.


Step 6 In some cases you may need to adjust the lock strike. Loosen
the screws on the latch on the frame and line them up for proper locking.
Step 7 If you removed any anti
lift blocks make sure to reinstall them for security purposes. Lester
Says " With out them the door could just be lifted out!"
